Each self portrait is drawn under the influence of different drugs taken daily. Within weeks of this experiment he became lethargic and suffered mild brain damage. He continues to work on this series but with much more time between doses.

Here’s some mid-60’s Italian madness for you all, and someone clearly went crazy with a ruler at the design stage! It’s incredible to think that in the 50’s and early 60’s the accordion was a more popular instrument than the guitar, but Italian company Galanti made their name as accordion makers and, when forced to adapt to the market, clearly used some of the same parts on their guitars…
